The nuke doesn’t reset the clock
We last saw Juliet at the bottom of a well trying to ignite the nuclear bomb with a rock. The belief was that if they nuked the island in 1977 it would create some kind of time paradox that would send everyone back to their pre-island lives. This won’t work. Why bother having a 6th season if the previous 5 never happened?
My guess is that the nuke doesn’t ignite as expected, but it does send everyone in 1977 back to the present day. Oh, and Juliet totally dies.
Evil “Locke” isn’t really all that evil
Sure he was only pretending to be Locke, and he did get Ben to kill Jacob (assuming Jacob can die), but maybe this guy isn’t so bad. Maybe Jacob is the big bad manipulator and this mystical guy who looks like Locke is really trying to set things right.

The ring, the cabin, the promise by Kate that she won’t steal anymore. Do I really have to spell out the obvious people!?!?!?!?!
I may be the only person alive who has never, ever seen a single episode of “Lost.” Not sure how that started, but I think that show was on as the same time as another I watched religiously, so “Lost” um lost out. And now the task of catching up is so daunting that I haven’t bothered at all.
Yes, it would be a daunting task to try to catch up on the previous 5 seasons. They show re-runs on cable, but they’re out of order so that only compounds the problem.
I once tried to explain it season by season. Mid-way through season 2 I had to start getting into the weeds. Each episode focuses on one character and each episode will show you flashbacks of what that character was like before they arrived on the island.
All the characters are linked in some way prior to getting on the island, whether they are aware of it or not. (There are two who are siblings and don’t know it.)
Plus there are some characters who were major players in season one but got killed off and little has been made of them since. So there are a lot of old episodes that have nothing to do with the overall mystery of the story.
